If your company is completely private label (aka proprietary brand) and you do not want your items to be viewable in Merchant Portal by retailers and distributors, you should mark your vendor as Private. Follow these steps to make your vendor private:

1. Click the Edit Vendor link in the top right corner of any page.
2. Select the General tab.
3. Check the box next to the Private label.
4. Click Save.

NOTE: Your data recipient will not be able to browse your items, but will still be able to subscribe with the correct catalog item information.
